Lea Road Food Club

Thursdays @ 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM | Sports Hall

The Lea Road Food Project began in 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are a small project run totally by volunteers helping people local to Penn Fields who struggle to buy sufficient food by offering a basket of supermarket quality items in exchange for a small weekly donation.

We are committed to reducing food waste and partner with FareShare, Greggs, Marks & Spencers, and Neighbourly collecting items that otherwise would end up in landfill.

In 2021, we won the United Reformed Church's Community Project Award and have received funding from The National Lottery, WRAP and Arnold Clark, along with many other kind donations.

If you or someone you know is experiencing difficulties, please email us.
